This sand from Science Selective is perfect for this! Offer your pet 1 inch of bathing sand in a bathhouse or bowl and let them bathe in it for a maximum of 10 to 20 minutes. Chinchillas like to take a sand bath every day, hamsters, gerbils and degus about twice a week. Change the sand at least once a week and when it becomes soiled with feces or moisture.
