Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried in a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed into our pellet. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your health.

poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

In order to provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables were added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, seaweed, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

German Spitz specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the German Spitz. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the German Spitz belongs. From these studies, ingredients that optimally serve the health and well-being of the German striker were selected in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist.

Fenugreek

Like the pea, fenugreek is a plant from the family of butterflies. The plant is also called fenugreek or “Greek hay”. It originally comes from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Nowadays, fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. It also has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatories) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to food to prevent arthritis, asthma and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek and support healthy digestion.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, from which the hand apples, which are particularly known in the northern hemisphere, come.

The apple grows in temperate regions.

Fiber has a diverse effect on the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and supple. Fiber also increases volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal activity, but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.

Apples are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the food and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscles and bones in the first years of life.

carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots come from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the Dutch East India Company in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots, for example, contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the structure of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fibers of the carrot support the dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrots to dog food because they can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems with the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good eyesight and healthy digestion.
