poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
In order to provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables were added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, seaweed, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Dog-specific Icelandic vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed-specific characteristics of the Icelandic Dog. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Icelandic Hound belongs. From these studies, ingredients that are optimal for the health and well-being of the Icelandic Dog were selected in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists.
Licorice root
The licorice root is derived from the Greek word glyks for "sweet" and rhiza for "root", which is why it is also called Glycyrrhiza glabra. The origin of the plant lies in Eurasia, North Africa and Western Asia. Since ancient times, licorice root has been credited with medicinal properties and is often used to make herbal teas.
Liquorice root is said to have a soothing, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect on the mucous membranes. In addition, it can help repair the stomach lining and is said to be good for a sensitive gastrointestinal tract.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. The cultivation of raspberries dates back to the Middle Ages and is naturally widespread throughout Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support the dog's health, e.g. B. Vitamins such as vitamin C, minerals such as manganese and antioxidants. Raspberries are also low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.
Raspberries are added to our dog food for their anti-inflammatory properties and can make a positive contribution to immune system function. Raspberries can also help maintain vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.
tomato
The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, which originally comes from Mesoamerica. Smaller varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, America decided to consider the fruit a vegetable.
At Yourdog we use tomatoes on a culinary level and treat them like vegetables.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and high in soluble fiber, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Not only does it give the tomato its red color, but it is also known to be a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomato contains high levels of vitamin C as well as vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems relating to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general cleansing effect on the body.
