Your choice
Yourdog Schipperke cares about your dog's holistic health and well-being. All Yourdog contain tasty buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruits and herbs to create the perfect food for your Schipperke.

Why Yourdog Schipperke

Rich in buffalo and poultry Made specifically for the Schipperke Contains glucosamine, thyme and carrot Promotes a healthy, shiny coat Maintains healthy intestinal flora Free from artificial colors, flavors and fragrances Also suitable for sensitive Schipperke

Our ingredients

To make our feed, 10.6kg of meat is dried for a 12kg bag so that it can be better processed into our pellet. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your health.

poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

In order to provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables were added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, seaweed, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Schipperke-specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Schipperke. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Schipperke belongs. From these studies, ingredients that have an optimal effect on the Schipperke's health and well-being were selected in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists.

Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a substance produced naturally in the body and is found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage production and keeps joints supple.

Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case with older or (too) heavy dogs, but increasingly also with younger, very agile dogs. For example, due to an inherited predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.

thyme

Thyme is a genus from the mint family. These include herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic smell. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal plant against lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, ulcers, headaches, colic and nervous weakness.

The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by its high vitamin K content. In addition, thyme contains a lot of iron as well as the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.

Thyme has an anti-inflammatory effect and has strong antibacterial and antifungal effects. In addition, it stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Thyme is rich in antioxidants and effectively fights free radicals.

We at Yourdog add thyme to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems relating to rheumatism, paralysis, stomach and nerves. Thyme is also a natural bactericide.

root

The root as we know it today, or orange root, is the result of many years of crossbreeding. The first white carrots come from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the Dutch East India Company in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots, for example, contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the structure of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fibers of the carrot support the dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrots to dog food because they can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems with the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good eyesight and healthy digestion.

Advice on switching

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend you follow the steps below. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important to re-acclimate the dog over two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% old dog food. The dog is now almost completely in Yourdog. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place.
