Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be processed better in our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your health.

poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

In order to provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables were added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, seaweed, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Mountain dog of pumpkins certain vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Marrow Mountain Dog. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group, to which the Stutenberghund belongs. From these studies, ingredients optimal for the health and well-being of the Maremma Mountain Dog were selected in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists.

Marigold

The marigold (Calendula) is a plant that, like the goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Marigold is a cultivated flower that has long been used for its various medicinal properties. The original Calendula species was probably native to Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is rarely found in the wild anymore. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

There is a lot of information about the positive effects of marigold. We can add calendula to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems relating to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes and feet. It is particularly good for the restoration of the skin and mucous membranes, it has an anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestive process.

Marigold is mainly used as an external care product, including for abrasions or skin problems. However, due to its regenerating properties, it can also be used internally.

carrot

The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots come from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the Dutch East India Company in the 17th century.

Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. Carrots, for example, contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the structure of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fibers of the carrot support the dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.

At Yourdog, we add carrots to dog food because they can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems with the dog's coat and skin. It also promotes good eyesight and healthy digestion.

banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius.

There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea around 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word Œbanaana in the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. These include vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant vitamin C can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It may also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with hypertension, while magnesium can relax muscles and promote bone growth. Bananas also contain a lot of good fiber and increase the number of good bacteria in the intestines.
