To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be processed better in our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and strong color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your health.
poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
In order to provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables were added to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog that provides the dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also help keep breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, seaweed, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are highlighted depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Siberian Husky-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed-specific characteristics of the Siberian Husky. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Siberian Husky belongs. From these studies, ingredients that optimally support the health and well-being of the Siberian Husky were selected in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist.
banana
The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea around 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word Œbanaana in the language of the Wolof people.
Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. These include vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant vitamin C can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It may also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with hypertension, while magnesium can relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain a lot of good fiber and increase the number of good bacteria in the intestines.
peppermint
Peppermint is a plant from the mint family. It is the plant that led to the production of peppermint. Peppermint was created from a cross between water mint and spearmint. The plant was found in a field of mint plants in England in the seventeenth century. The plant is grown in England, France, China, Japan and North and South America.
We can add peppermint to dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific intestinal and gallbladder problems. The properties of the peppermint plant also include preventing itching.
Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint contained in peppermint can have an antispasmodic effect on the intestines and promotes the flow of bile in the intestines. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect.
Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and phosphorus.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a dietary supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, obtained from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and contains 60-70% protein?
It is rich in vitamins including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the health and well-being of dogs in general. Additionally, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat.
